Saturday March 2nd Stockers on route to Rickmansworth
Left home caught the bus to Long Lane where I walked down Springwell Lane where on
Inns GP 7 Red crested Pochards obliged with a single Goldeneye.
On the River Colne a Grey Heron posed while fishing in the shallows.
Walked canal side through the Alder lined banks until almost at Stockers House where
overhead a Common Buzzard was being mobbed by a Crow.
On to Stockers farm where the Oystercatcher obliged missed it at Maple Lodge ,here it was amongst
Lapwings.
Also of note here today was a flock of Wigeon up to 75c and a distant Little Owl.
Crossing the canal a Red Kite flew over as I walked around Bury and Batchworth lakes in
to Rickmansworth.
