Venice an anniversary of culture and food

Mid  August a little earlier than usual as a wedding is on the near horizon,so a premature 27th anniversary  started with a BA flight to Venice  where our water taxi took us across the lagoon
to Venice.
Our hotel was the Aqua palace on Calle Malvasia ,a few terns on route on the lagoon ,some
Little Terns. On  arrival dumped the case and made the Rialto Bridge.
We spent some time here a little jaded from our early start a siesta was good  before our
evening meal,at Osteria ae Sconte near our hotel.
The following morning we visited St Marks Square which was busy with  many Tourists
we took in the sights in high suuny temps.
Next up was the Doges Palace and here the architecture and Renaissance facades were
superb.
The Scala dei Giganti and the statues of Mars and Neptune were outstanding.
So much to see here.
The square held too much for a mornings visit.
We left the palace an square for lunch at a near by Osteria.
The following day what would a trip to Venice be like without a Gondola ride
and a return to the Rialto Bridge and St Marks before leaving.
So another anniversary comes to an end 27 years you get less for murder.
So chow for now.
