South American journey April 1st Puerto Montt Chile Petrohue falls and volcanoes

It was tenders to shore where our coaches took us to the pan American highway mostly in the fog.Our first stop was  the Vincente Perez Rosales NP.
Here at lake Petrohue we boarded a boat and sailed on Todos los Santos lake.

We waited for the cloud cover to move off Volcanoe Osornoe,we also
viewed Calbuco,Puntiagudo and Tronadore volcanoes.

Back on land now we headed for Saltos de Petrohue falls where we walked through the forest.

Passing the rapids and the native flora of the region.

Here the cascades and wonderfull back drop of Volcanoe Osornoe,few birds but spectacular scenery.

On route back at Lago Llanquihue Caracaras posed on a fence.

Finally  Puerto Varas for lunch where we sat on the front noting the locals and the birds.
